Don’t Be Fooled … It Is About Love

Our purpose is love

Recently, whilst driving through the city, my eyes were drawn to an advertising sign at a bus station shelter. In big letters the sign read, “Don’t be fooled.” The poster was promoting an energy drink but, I wasn’t interested in the product; it was the words that caught my attention. Don’t be fooled … “Yes!” I thought to myself, “Don’t be fooled by the material world!”

In our western world a lot of our daily focus is centred around money—having enough of it so that we can buy the things that we desire; the things that the advertising companies tell us we ‘must have’ in order to live a happy life. But is the gathering of material possessions the main reason behind why we are here … or are we being fooled—distracted from the real purpose of our life journey?

From a spiritual perspective, the reason as to why we are born—why our spirit takes on human form—is clear: it is to love, serve and care about others. It’s not about our material possessions and financial wealth; these worldly pursuits, which we place much emphasis on, are distractions. It is about our character and the love that we have imparted through our personal journey; the hearts that we have touched; the people whom we have cared about; the assistance we have given and the kind thoughts we have generated towards others.

Love, is our true purpose and reason for being, for love is carried with us through this life and into the next. Love matters most.

Therefore, don’t be fooled by the messages delivered by the material world. Become less distracted by them by setting your eyes firmly on the spiritual path. This will help you to focus on what is important. There is nothing wrong with accumulating wealth and owning nice items but, don’t make these things the focus of your life. Whilst they provide short-term pleasure they are not the main reason for living.

Only the love that we give to self and others is lasting and remains forever. That’s the real reason we are here; that’s our true purpose … to love and serve all.

Christmas Is A Time Of Love

Christmas 8In all of the rush and the build-up to Christmas, it’s easy to forget the true meaning of Christmas—LOVE.

The other day whilst partaking in Christmas shopping, I felt a little sad. Whilst shopping, instead of feeling the energies of love and peace surround me—all I could feel was tension; lots of it. Surrounded by stressed shoppers and frazzled shop assistants, it took a lot of energy, on my part, not to become affected. The only way that I could maintain inner-peace and calmness was to stay focused on the deeper meaning of Christmas.

Whilst Christmas tradition is to exchange presents as expressions of love—love is, in fact, a gift of the heart—and the Great Master Jesus, is a perfect example of someone who gave love from his heart freely. His birth on the earth plane was primarily to shine the light, to lead us towards spiritual growth, love and inner-peace. His message of helping and forgiving others, was one of love—not presents!

At this time of year if we focus on the meaning of Christ’s birth—and His life teachings—it makes it a little easier to get less swept up in the retail hype and more in-tune with the true meaning of Christmas.

With this in mind, I thought that the perfect way to end this year—a way that can help us to focus on the meaning of Christmas—is to share a message with you from the spirit teacher White Eagle. The message was channelled through my husband, Tim, on Sunday 11th December, 2011. Christmas Message 11.12.11

The message is as relevant now as when it was first received three years ago.

May it help all of us to let go of the stresses that are so apparent at Christmastime and return to LOVE.

I will be taking a few weeks break during the festive season which means that my next blog post will be on Tuesday, 13th January, 2015.

In the meantime, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your love and support throughout the year and to wish you all a wonderful, joyful and peace-filled Christmas. And may the coming year be one where challenges are few, joys are many, where, personal growth, spiritual development and LOVE are our focus!

Wishing you a love-filled Christmas and New Year.

Judge Less And Love More

Judge less

Recently, I was feeling out of sorts. When I took stock of ‘why’ I was feeling this way, I discovered that my ‘mind-chatter’ was forming opinions and judgements about myself and others. For a few days, my mind stayed off track but thankfully White Eagle—a magnificent, illumined spiritual teacher on the other side of life—came to my rescue.

My husband, Tim, was the medium through which the message from White Eagle was conveyed. Tim received the message during one of our group meditations. The words were timely for they reminded me that our purpose in life is not to judge others; it is simply to love.

Here is part of the message that Tim received from White Eagle on Sunday 5th October, 2014. I found it extremely helpful and I hope that you do too.

“…Whenever you come to form judgements—opinions of others—please try and remember these words, dear friends, and instead of forming opinions and judgements, just project love. Speak to Divine Love and ask that that person, that spirit, because afterall it is that they are spirit, ask Divine Love to enshroud, enfold that spirit with love. Imbue them with the understanding of perfect love and allow them to see that whatever they are doing, which is not appropriate, that they should desist and not proceed.

And you might think that in speaking these words to you that White Eagle and White Brotherhood are out-of-touch with some of the events of your world which are reported daily in your newspapers and so on. Dear friends, these events have occurred since man first walked the earth as a conscious being. It is the function of the earth to provide the learning ground for spirits to come to realise that violence towards others is not correct and this violence can take the form of physical violence, it can take the form of violence with your mind by projecting thoughts of hate or dislike.

The word ‘hate,’ should we say, should be considered to be one of the ‘four-letter’ words of your language, which you should not use. It is most undesirable to hate. It is most desirable to love. Is it not interesting that both words contain the same number of letters, yet they are opposites? And this is the world. On one hand you have hate, on the other hand you have love and then there is a necessity for them to balance. It is better that they balance when they are close together so that hate can be absorbed by love, so that in the end, only love exists.

Beloved friends, forgive us for appearing to preach to you but these are the truths of the universe. This is the essence of life—is just to give love. And whatever you perceive to be wrong, whatever you see as wrong in the way people act or speak, just give love. If you do not agree with their religious philosophy, just give love. If you do not agree with their actions, just give love. There is no other pathway but to give love because in giving love, you draw yourselves into the same vibration as Divine Love itself and from the time that you love unconditionally, you become Divine Love. You are divine for all of that time.

Dearest friends, we understand the difficulties of the physical life. We understand that in taking on the physical body and the ego that goes with it, that it is necessary that you should live your life in the way you do. Try and temper all that happens in your life by reflecting upon these words.”

Beautiful isn’t it? If you enjoyed White Eagle’s message, let me know, for I am happy to share more messages from White Eagle through this blog. As always, I look forward to your comments.

Assumptions Can Hurt

Don't judge

So many times we look at life from our own perspective. We make judgements and assumptions about others which often turn out to be wrong.

Recently, I was talking to a friend who was very angry about the fact that her sister had a falling out with her mother. My friend was extremely annoyed with her sister, believing that she was solely to blame for the situation that had occurred.

As I listened, I could feel myself getting tense. Unbeknown to my friend, her sister was a client of mine and, as it so happened, I knew some facts about the situation that she wasn’t privy to—facts that I could not and would not disclose.

For all concerned, I had to stay calm. When my friend finished talking, I asked her to take a moment and to look at her own thoughts about the situation and reflect on how many of her thoughts were based on facts and how many of them were based on assumptions. She quietly said that she hadn’t spoken to her sister about the situation—she’d only spoken to her mother. I then asked her to step inside her sister’s shoes for a moment and feel what it would be like if a sibling was assuming all sorts of things about the issue without knowing her side of the story. “How would that feel?” I asked.

There was silence and then my friend spoke. “Terrible. I’d be really angry.”

I gently said, “Maybe the best thing you can do in this situation is not to take sides, instead, send kind thoughts to both your mother and sister that they peacefully resolve the issue. Use the power of your thoughts to help them both.”

Most times we are not privy to the depth of what is happening in someone else’s life—we only see a glimpse of what is taking place—and yet, we judge others without knowing the pain in their hearts; without knowing what they are really going through.

The situation that my friend found herself in was like all situations in life—it had appeared in her life for spiritual growth. Everyone involved was learning—including me! What did I learn from the situation? I was reminded that we never know what’s happening behind the scenes of someone’s life—and it’s not always for us to know. Our primary role is not to judge, not to assume and not to take sides. It’s simply to love others. This is spiritual awareness.

Action Challenge

This coming week, as you walk past people—be that on the street, at work or at the shopping centre—say a quiet thought in your mind to passers-by which wishes them peace and love. This is a great act of service that will help you to stay spiritually focused and aware that, as we meet people, we don’t know their story, we don’t know what’s going on in their heads, hearts and lives but we can help them. We can put our thoughts to good use and wish them peace and love.

Here’s a video clip that, with few words, expresses what I have been trying to say—perfectly!

I look forward to your comments.

Remember To Let Loved Ones Know That You Love Them

Tell loved one you love them

It’s Fabulous Friday, the day we look at ways to keep us feeling inspired and in-spirit.

More often than not we take the people that we love in our lives for granted. We get so caught up in the machinations of the day, the ‘doing’ and the ‘planning’ that we forget to tell our loved ones just how much they mean to us.

This weekend, make the effort to tell those in your life —who fill your life in so many ways —how much you love them.  Let them know how much they mean to you. Let’s honour those who enrich our lives and lift their hearts with our expressions of love.

We never know what is around the corner, so let’s make the most of today and tell others that we love them in every way.

Wishing you a beautiful love-filled weekend.

I love you because

Ever Wondered What’s Your True Life Purpose?

Love is all you need

Don’t you adore it when words of inspiration leap up off the page?  This is what happened to me this morning when I began the day reading a book containing inspirational material.  Suddenly, the words: “Your life purpose involves you being a role model of Divine love” took my full attention.

What a lovely way to express the purpose of our physical lives. To be role models of love and to inspire others to love is, indeed, a magnificent picture of how best to live our lives.

Afterall, love is the ultimate reason for our lives. And each time we love, we live in harmony with our spirit-self and with Divine Love. Bliss!

Call to Action

This weekend, let us reflect on our true life purpose and be shining examples of Divine Love’s love.  Let our hearts love unconditionally. Let us reach out to others in loving ways and with loving thoughts and actions so that their lives are lifted by our love.

Ways in which you can express your love towards others throughout the weekend: be kind; lend a helping hand; be a listening ear; pray for loved ones and friends; pay a compliment to those who serve you; hold compassion for someone with whom you may have had a past disagreement; cheer up a friend who is in need; perform a random act of kindness. The list is endless.

And during the weekend, don’t forget to spread a little love your way too. Be kind to yourself!  For you are magnificent—a spark of Divine Love.

Love is all there is, and love is all that we need to live by in order to fulfil the purpose of our physical incarnation.

May your weekend be blissful, filled with opportunities to love.
