LIGHTWORDS - ILLUMINATING LIFE

Welcome to Fabulous Friday the day we look at ways to keep us feeling inspired and in-spirit.

I had an interesting experience yesterday. I was working with a woman who was caring for her sick husband. When our session started the woman was extremely agitated, angry and uptight about the situation facing her. Her husband was dying of cancer and travelling the road with him was difficult for this was the second time she had to face this. Her first husband had also died of cancer.

Using creative visualisation I worked with her to help her find the very thing she needed in order to get her through this experience and to help her with her life – peace.

At the end of the session she was a changed woman. One who was calm, serene and back in touch with her essence. She explained to me that she used to meditate, and peace used to be a priority in her life. But then she let it go. A new marriage, a busy lifestyle all drew her away from the sustenance she needed daily.

Our session together ended with her determined to bring peace back into her life. She had forgotten its value, but now she had tasted it again her passion was re-ignited.

Often life takes us away from our spiritual practices, but our spiritual practices nourish our soul. When our spirit is nourished we can cope so much better with the daily situations that face us.

This weekend, make time for peace. Do practices that nourish your being; meditation, sitting in nature for a while; drawing, painting, whatever it is for you do activities and practices that makes you feel peaceful.

In our rush to live life we forget that taking the time to nourish our soul actually brings great strength and energy to our being.

Make the most of the weekend and re-connect to the peace within you. You will feel much better in doing so.

Great Love and peace to you,
